In the span of 24 hours, Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in the tragic loss of 142 Palestinian lives, with an additional 278 individuals sustaining injuries, as reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).
The situation in Gaza has further worsened with the scarcity of potable water, prompting the World Health Organization to characterize living conditions as “inhumane,” contributing to the spread of diseases such as hepatitis A.
Amidst the ongoing conflict, the Israeli forces also targeted Israa University in Gaza City, demolishing the institution. Shockingly, it was revealed that the university had been utilized by the Israeli forces for more than two months, serving as both a base and an impromptu detention facility for the interrogation of Palestinian detainees before their transfer to undisclosed locations.
This adds another layer of concern to the already dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
