Rawalpindi, September 4, 2024 – The 14th Pak-Egypt Military Cooperation Committee (MCC) meeting took place at the Ministry of Defence, Rawalpindi, from September 1-6. The Pakistan side was led by Maj Gen Amer Ashfaq Kayani, Acting Secretary of Defence, while Maj Gen Abdel Rehman Abdel Rehman Mahmoud Wahdan, Assistant Head of the Armed Forces Operations Authority for Civil & Military Coordination, led the Egyptian delegation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a wide range of topics related to bilateral defense cooperation. Key areas of common interest, such as security, counterterrorism, and the regional environment, were reviewed. Discussions also covered training, exchange visits, and the co-production of defense equipment.
Held in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, the meeting concluded with both delegations expressing satisfaction over the progress made. They agreed to enhance collaboration in defense and security. The 15th round of the Pakistan-Egypt MCC meeting is scheduled to take place in Egypt.
