Over 180,000 residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have benefited from free treatment services in hospitals across Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Islamabad through the Sehat Card Plus initiative, as per official documents.
Since its inception in 2016, a total of 2.715 million individuals have received free medical treatment, with the provincial government allocating Rs. 81 billion for this purpose. Of these, 181,819 patients have availed medical services in various hospitals in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Islamabad, amounting to Rs. 6.741 billion.
These patients, originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are residing in other cities due to their employment.
Under the program, 10.2 million families, consisting of 33.2 million individuals from the province, are eligible for cashless treatment nationwide. Each family can avail free treatment services up to Rs. 1 million annually.
