Islamabad and Karachi, two cities in Pakistan, have been ranked as some of the most Cheapest Cities in the world to live in for foreign workers in 2022.
In the cost of living index for 2022, which was released by the US-based asset management firm Mercer, Islamabad and Karachi are placed as the fourth and fifth cheapest cities for expats, respectively.
Surprisingly, all of the cities with the lowest costs are located in nations with a majority of Muslims. According to Mercer’s report, these are the top ten most affordable cities for expats in 2022:

In order to assist multinational corporations (MNCs) and governments in evaluating compensation schemes for their foreign personnel, Mercer conducts the cost of living data research twice a year.
The survey analyzes more than 200 products and services, along with highlighting important elements such as currency changes, inflation, and accommodation rates in order to determine the cost of packages for internationally mobile employees.
