The second phase of the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is going to start in Lahore from Thursday.
First match of the second phase will be played between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday at 07:30 pm Pakistan Standard Time.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar chaired the NCOC meeting in Islamabad. The meeting discussed the epidemic data, national vaccination progress, inbound health protocols and 2nd Phase of the PSL 7th Edition.
Moreover, NCOC issued a statement, saying:
“NCOC has allowed 50% capacity in PSL 7 Lahore matches with for fully vaccinated spectators till 15th of February. Moreover, The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has allowed 100% capacity for fully vaccinated spectators starting from 16 February.”
The NCOC statement also said that:
“The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) also allowed the Children under 12 years of age (un-vaccinated).”
Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said government has established special vaccination booths for non-vaccinated spectators.
NCOC also allowed children under twelve years of age to watch the matches.
The district administration Lahore has also made foolproof security arrangements for the teams.
According to Deputy Commissioner Lahore, CCTV cameras will monitor the stadium. While PC. has deployed special teams to avoid any untoward incident.
Opening Ceremony of PSL 7 in Karachi
Previously, Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7th edition 2022 kicked off at National Stadium Karachi in January with a spectacular opening ceremony.
PSL 7 anthem artists Atif Aslam and Aima Baig performed in colorful opening ceremony.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special message to PSL teams also played during the ceremony, followed by a vibrant fireworks display.
“I am opening the seventh PSL and I hope every team fights till the last ball and entertains the public,” Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a video message.
