Three more accountability courts have been set up in the capital and three judges of the subordinate judiciary have been nominated to preside over these courts.
With the establishment of three more courts, the total number of accountability courts in the city has reached six. There were already three accountability courts functioning in Islamabad; judges of courts one, two and three are: Mohammad Bashir, Azam Khan and Syed Asghar Ali.
District and Sessions Judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan will preside over accountability court four, Wajid Ali over court five and the nomination for accountability court six is still awaited.
Earlier, District and Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti was nominated as the judge for accountability court six, however, he was later posted as district and sessions judge (West).
