ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Gwadar University has become an important human resource generating institution for CPEC in several sectors, according to Balochistan Chief Secretary Mather Niaz Rana.
He was speaking to attendees at the University of Gwadar’s laptop distribution event. The chief secretary gave out 300 laptops to university students as part of the chief minister’s Balochistan laptop initiative.
Vice-Chancellor University of Gwadar Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 44 Special Security Division, Maj-Gen Inayat Hussain, Capt. (Ret’d) Jameel Ahmed Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Brigadier Fahad Mansoor, officers of the Armed Forces, district demonstrative officer heads of various departments, faculty members, admin staff, and students of UoG attended the event.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Mather Niaz Rana, speaking on the occasion, stated that the Balochistan government aims to give higher education and the greatest facilities to the province’s students.
He went on to say that all students should prioritize serving the country and the province.
Vice-Chancellor University of Gwadar Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir thanked the Government of Balochistan, particularly the Balochistan Chief Secretary, for taking a keen interest in the flourishing University of Gwadar and providing unwavering support in creating an environment conducive to the promotion of quality higher education in this far-flung part of the country in his welcome speech.
Major General Inayat Hussain, GOC 44 SSD, stated in his presentation that no nation can thrive without education and that one of his major goals in Gwadar is to promote excellent education.
He believes that providing such resources to students to develop a research culture in higher education institutions is commendable in this age of technology and creativity.
