At least 50 family members from ten distinct households in the Mirpurkhas division have converted to Islam.
Mohammad Shamroz Khan, son of Minister for Religious Affairs Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, attended the ceremony at Baitul Iman New Muslim Colony, a local seminary.
Qari Taimur Rajput, one of the organization’s caretakers, confirmed that ten families have converted to Islam.
“They were all willing converts to Islam.” Nobody compelled them,” Rajput stated, citing Khan. He also allegedly asked the new converts whether they did so willingly during the conversion ceremony, which was also attended by multiple local citizens.
Rajput went on to say that 50 people converted, including 23 women and a one-year-old girl. The converts will be housed in a local facility created specifically for new Muslim converts in 2018.
