On Monday in Bolan, a bomb near a Balochistan Constabulary van on a bridge in a district straddling the Kachhi and Sibi districts resulted in nine fatalities and eleven injuries, according to authorities.
Mahmood Notezai, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Kachhi, confirmed the fatalities.
The official claimed that while the inquiry was ongoing, preliminary evidence pointed to a suicide attack as the cause of the explosion.
He claimed that while bomb squads and security personnel arrived on the scene, the injured were being transported to the hospital. There is a cordon around the location.
