Pakistan’s leading Ulema and religious scholars of all schools of thought have collaborated and completed a consensus Urdu translation of the Holy Quran.
The Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter faith Harmony, Sahibzada Noorul Haq Qadri, stated that the translation will be unveiled at a ceremony chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The minister addressed the 13th Competition of Quran and Hadith at Jamia Al Kausar and said that the purpose of including the Seerah of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in the educational curriculum is to promote Islamic values and culture in Pakistan.
He said that the youth should be taught the Holy Quran, and urged the Ulema of all schools of thought to unite and end the conspiracies by the enemies of Islam and Pakistan.
Minister Qadri also announced that the ministry would hold a Qirat competition soon.
