The Sindh government stated on Sunday that passengers who do not have COVID immunization would be denied access to public transportation beginning September 15.

Syed Awais Shah, the provincial transport minister, announced the decision, saying that individuals will be barred from using public transportation until they had the first dose of the Covid vaccine on September 15.

“Passengers using public transportation should obtain the first dosage of the vaccination by September 15,” Syed Awais Shah said, adding that cars transporting government and private personnel will face a similar restriction beginning September 15.

He also stated that transportation to educational establishments will be subject to a similar prohibition beginning August 31 and must be entirely vaccinated by September 30. “Unvaccinated tourists will not be permitted to travel on the highways beginning October 15,” according to a leaflet published by the transport agency.

The Sindh government has already imposed vaccine-related limitations in order to enhance the inoculation process, and COVID-19 immunization was recently made necessary for entrance into educational institutions and eateries in a revised notice issued by the Sindh Home Department.

Furthermore, people will be required to get vaccinated in order to travel by air and public transportation.

Those who have gotten the COVID-19 vaccination will be able to enter hotels, shopping malls, and wedding venues. The home department has set a September 30 deadline for COVID-19 vaccinations for its residents.
