Sindh Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar confirmed the registration of electric cars and motorcycles has begun. It was because, demand of electric cars and bikes was increasing. Moreover, the customers were facing difficulties in its registration process.
Electric Vehicles (EVs) have already attracted people globally. And now, the Pakistanis are also enthusiastic about it.
In December, the authorities permitted first 5-year Electric Vehicle (EV) policy for cars. It was to facilitate the automotive industry to meet the international standards of production.
Pakistan’s first Electric-Bike
In July, PM Imran Khan launched the Pakistan’s first-ever environmentally-friendly E-bike. Moreover, He stated Electric vehicles are important for Pakistan to reduce environmental pollution.
This launch was part of the government’s 5-year Pakistan Electric Vehicles Policy 2020-2025, approved last year. The E-bikes manufacturer is a Pakistani Company, Jolta Electric.
The E-bike is available in various models, including JE-70, JE-70 L, JE-70 D, JE-100 L, JE-125 L, JE-Scooty, JE-Sports Bike. It can be charged overnight. It is energy-efficient. Moreover, it has no clutch and gears. And It is extremely low maintenance.
Many Jolta E-bikes models have unique speed specs from 10-60km/h. Moreover, it can cover 60-100 kilometres after a full charge.
