Ayesha Omar, who plays serial murderer Javed Iqbal, took to social media to showcase her first glimpse from the upcoming film.
Omar, who has appeared in films like Karachi Se Lahore and 7 Din Mohabbat In, took to Instagram to share a poster of her character’s appearance. “Coming soon: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer. In the name of Allah, “She scribbled in the captions. “And with my first glance at this devastating narrative, I congratulate our armed personnel for constantly defending and serving us, despite all odds, day in and day out. Today and every day, I am filled with thankfulness.”
In the film, Omar will co-star with actor Yasir Hussain, who will play Javed Iqbal. Hussain has already shown his first glimpse as the serial murderer on social media. Omar and Hussain earlier collaborated on Karachi Se Lahore.
When he surrendered himself to the office of an Urdu newspaper in 1999, Javed Iqbal, one of Pakistan’s most known serial murderers, admitted to killing over 100 young boys in Lahore.
Omar previously revealed to Pictures that the film will be about the inquiry into Javed Iqbal, how he admitted, and how he was probed. “I portray the female police officer who leads the questioning,” she explained, adding that the film is “fiction based on actual facts.”
