Pakistan secured yet another victory – their fifth consecutive one – in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 against Scotland Sunday, and has now become the first team in the tournament to reach the semi-finals unbeaten. Pakistan claimed a 72-run victory against the team in their fifth match.
The massive 189-runs total by Pakistan became too much for Scotland to handle in Sharjah as the team only managed to score 117 in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Skipper Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik emerged as the star players of the game with their brilliant half-centuries, enabling Pakistan to score a huge 189 total against Scotland.
Shoib Malik finished with an 18-ball 54 not out with 6 big sixes, while Babar notched his 24th Twenty20 international fifty with a 47-ball 66.
Richie Berrington was superb, but the Pakistan bowlers had too much quality for Scotland.
