In a move that is certainly going to boost the economy, the production of raw materials has been resumed at the Saindak Copper and Gold project. The smelter, on which the entire project depends, was ignited for the 18th time. For the first time in 8 months, the smelter was working. He praised the Pakistani and Chinese employees for working diligently to ensure the continuation of the project, despite the pandemic. He expressed the hope that the employees would work hard in the future as well to ensure uninterrupted production. Furthermore, Mr Xuping reiterated his belief that, if the staff was united, they would combat the pandemic and reach production targets with ease.
The staff, consisting of both, Chinese and Pakistani workers, motivated by the speech, cheered and chanted the slogan “Long live Pakistan-China friendship”. Along with Mr Xuping, President and Vice-President of MRDL, Zhang Zhijun and Muhammad Ishaque Shahwani were also present at the memorable occasion.
