Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its test squad comprising 16 players and 5 reserves for the upcoming Pakistan vs Australia home series.
Moreover, The teams will play 3 tests in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore from 4th of march to 25th of march.
Further, According to PCB, they have made 3 changes to the national test squad after the Bangladesh tour.
Moreover, Haris Rauf has re-joined the squad and replaces off-spinner Bilal Asif. Meanwhile, Shan Masood has replaced Abid Ali since he is undergoing rehabilitation after being diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome. Moreover, Yasir Shah has been added to the reserve pool.
Meanwhile, the test cricketers who are not playing in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season 7 will gather in Karachi on Wednesday to participate in a training camp at National Stadium Karachi.
Earlier. the PCB announced the first Australia tour of Pakistan after 2+ decades. The tour will start from March 4, said PCB on February 4th.
Previously, Australia canceled its tour to Pakistan for security reasons. But Australia sent their associate to Pakistan last year to ensure high-security measures on their arrival.
Further, PCB chief executive Faisal Hasnain also announced that:
“Cricket Australia had formally given the go-ahead to their side’s 5-week tour itinerary and confirmed that their best available players will also visit Pakistan for the first time in 24 years.”
Moreover, PCB chief executive also said:
“We are also really excited to host Pat Cummings and his players. We are also looking forward to a competitive series that will comprise 3 Tests, 3 ODIs, and a T20I.”
