A zero tax rate for IT Freelancers was announced on Monday by the Prime Minister, Imran Khan. During the launch of the National E-Tijarat Portal, Imran Khan spoke about the facilitation for young people and entrepreneurs.
Facilitating the young people of the IT sector, the government is trying to go all-out, said the PM. Furthermore, to close the trade gap, he was keen that the digital revolution will not only generate revenue but also revolutionize the country in terms of tech.
Furthermore, the PM told during the launch, “This is the technology revolution. The youth should in no way miss it. We expect the country’s IT exports to reach $50 billion in a few years,”
Moreover, with the launch of the Tijarat Portal, the PM said barriers are still in the way to prevent lower and middle-income people from excelling in society. He also explained that the visit of Bill Gates the co-founder of Microsoft and philanthropist will urge him to involve in the growth of Pakistan’s IT sector.
