Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won the by-polls in NA-33 Hangu by-polls, according to the unofficial and unconfirmed results.
NA-33 Hangu had fallen vacant due to the death of MNA Khial Zaman.
PTI candidate Dr Nadeem Khayal bagged 20,772 votes while JUI-F’s Mufti Obaidullah came second with 18,244 votes and ANP’s candidate Saeed Umar secured 3,314 votes. It may be noted that in 2018, PTI won the seat with a lead of 800 votes and in 2022 by-polls, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf grabbed the seat with a lead of almost 4,500 votes.
Polling started at 8am and continued till 5pm without any interruption and no untoward incident was reported from the constituency.
