In the last week of this month, a seven-member Pakistan athletics team will go to Iran to compete in the 2nd Imam Reza Cup, which will be held in Mashhad from May 29 to 30.
Major General, retired, Muhammad Akram Sahi, President of the Pakistan Athletics Federation, said the country has selected highly talented sportsmen to compete in the Imam Reza Cup.
This is a key competition in our athletes’ preparation for the World Athletics Championships and other significant international events coming up,”
Shajar Abbas (100m & 200m), Abdul Mueed (200m & 400m), Sharoz Khan (high jump), Kashif Majeed (long jump), and Muhammad Yasir (javelin throw) are among those scheduled to fly to Iran on May 28 to compete in various categories.
The athletes will be accompanied by two coaches, Qazi Tanveer Hussain and Rana Sajjad Ahmad Khan.
