QUETTA:  Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Thursday announced a reward of Rs500,000 for an oil tanker driver who saved lives by risking his own life when he drove his burning vehicle away from human settlements.

Two days ago, an oil tanker that was loaded with more than 10,000 liters of petrol had caught a massive fire at a petrol pump.

However, Faisal continued driving the vehicle for about two kilometers in a bid to save people’s lives. His prompt action was widely appreciated by people present on the occasion and the fuel station owner and many called him a “real-life hero”.

Real-life heroes exist and that's exactly what a Quetta tanker driver proved to be true when he drove a burning tanker on the provincial capital's Qambrani road to save lives.

On the other hand, Head of Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Salman Sufi invited Faisal to Islamabad as a guest of honor.

Taking to Twitter, Sufi said he conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “deep gratitude” to Faisal for his “selfless service to humanity.”

Just had a excellent phone call with Mr Faisal. The Citizen Hero who saved countless lives in Balochistan. I have conveyed PM deep gratitude for his selfless service to humanity & invited him to Islamabad to be our guest of honor.
