The Pakistan army is currently coordinating a high-risk rescue operation to evacuate two stranded mountaineers, Shehroze Kashif and Fazal Ali, who are stuck at Nanga Parbat.
ISPR has stated that Pakistan army aviation helicopters and a ground search team consisting of high altitude porters have been deployed to rescue the mountaineers.
Army aviation pilots in Pakistan attempted two helicopter missions in daring attempt to pick up stranded mountaineers despite bad weather conditions.
However, due to dense clouds and high altitude, the pilots were unsuccessful. The ground search team is nearing the mountaineers who are currently at Camp-3. The army aviation pilots will fly again on Thursday, weather conditions permitting, as the ground team attempts to rescue the mountaineers to Camp-2.
