The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has decided to establish an IT excellence centre in Rawalakot. The AJK IT Board has already secured space for the excellence centre and is making final arrangements for its launch.
According to officials from the Information Technology (IT) Board of AJK, the IT excellence centre is a project undertaken by the AJK government and IT Board to provide digital educational excellence in the region of AJK.
This centre will help promote IT activities and the capacity building of IT professionals in AJK.
The Board Director-General of IT, Dr. Khalid, stated in an interview with ProPakistani that in three years, 800 students will receive training. To start off, the courses being offered will be in Web Design and Development, UI/UX Design, Digital Marketing, E-commerce, and Cyber Security Mobile App Design & Development. However, later on down the line, they will also be including courses that revolve around modern technologies.
The centre will be offering all courses free of charge, with classes commencing in August. Online registration for the first batch is now open, with the deadline being the 24th of July.
Classes will be held five days a week, each class spanning four hours and including laboratory practice.
