On 25 October 1985, Emirates made its first flight from Dubai to Karachi on a leased Airbus A300. The aircraft was provided by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Emirates, one of the largest airlines in the world, was founded in 1985 by the royal family of Dubai.
The establishment of the Emirates airline in the middle of the 1980s was significantly assisted by Pakistan International Airlines, one of the best airlines in the world at the time, which gave the new company technical and administrative support as well as a brand-new Boeing 737-300 and an Airbus A300B4-200 as gifts.
Two pre-owned Boeing 727-200 Adv were also given to the airline by the Dubai Royal Air Wing of the Royal Family. On October 25, 1985, the airline’s first flight, flight EK600, traveled from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan.
