A two-day Pakistan Mango Festival was held in Shanghai, China, by the Pakistan Consulate General as part of efforts to introduce and promote mango in the area.
The Consul General spoke during the event’s opening ceremony, which took place at the Hualong Building Bund in Shanghai, and focused on the value and potential of Pakistani mango and other fruit exports to China.
The China-Europe Association for Technical Cooperation (CEATEC) Shanghai and Shanghai Global Economic Development LCC, as well as the Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai, jointly staged the Mango Festival.
A significant number of Chinese companies and business persons attended the event. Besides mangoes, the mango juice and ice-cream were also offered during the event.
On the sidelines of the event, the Mission also organized Pakistan Trade and Investment Conference.
The consul general made a presentation to the attendees on the trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan and urged them to investigate the market there, particularly for mangoes and other fruits as well as agricultural products, which presented significant potential for win-win collaboration.
