Virgin Atlantic, a British airline, has announced that it will operate nine flights per week from Islamabad and Lahore to Pakistan.
Details indicate that Virgin Atlantic will operate five flights back from Lahore. The flights will run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from London to Lahore and on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from Lahore to London.
The new timetable will take effect on January 11th, 2023, and the British airline will also run four flights out of Islamabad.
It is important to note that on December 11, 2020, Virgin Atlantic’s inaugural flight from Heathrow landed at Islamabad International Airport.
On December 14, 2020, a second flight in general and the first at the Lahore airport touched down.
Christian Turner, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, expressed his congratulations on the Virgin Atlantic airline’s first flight’s arrival in Pakistan.
The airline received permission from Pakistan’s aviation authority to run direct flights from Manchester to Islamabad.
