In collaboration with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency PMSA, local fisherman in the Arabian Sea saved a Chinese national from drowning.
The maritime agency claimed in a statement that its Sadaqat base had received a distress call from neighborhood fishermen the day before, who had informed the agency that they had seen a man.
Local fishermen saw the Chinese man, Zuo Xiang Wei, while he was drowning close to the Phitti Creek in the Arabian Sea. The person reportedly fell from a merchant ship on August 10 close to Karachi port, according to the agency.
The rescued Chinese seafarer was initially given first aid at the PMSA facility at Ibrahim Hydri before being taken to PMSA’s headquarters for a thorough medical examination.
