A number of celebrities represented Pakistan abroad, adding to the joy and pride of the nation’s citizens, who were busy celebrating Pakistan’s independence day. Sarah Khan, the renowned star of Raqs-e-Bismil, won a prestigious prize at an overseas Pakistanis event held in Olso, Norway.
Sarah Khan and Danish Taimoor were both present during the event. The “Norway 14 August Committee” awarded the actress “Pride of Performance” award.
Sarah khan expressed her extreme joy at receiving the honor during a speech she gave on stage.
The actress’s husband, the well-known Pakistani singer Falak Shabir, posted a portion of his wife’s thank-you speech on his YouTube channel shortly after the ceremony.
With her roles in well-known plays like Sabaat, Mohabbat Aag Si, Belapur Ki Dayan, and Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain, Sarah Khan has achieved both domestic and international praise. She received three nominations for the best actress category and one prize from the Hum Awards for “Best Supporting Actress” in 2016.
Laapata and Raqs-e-Bismil won Sarah Khan praise. She also appeared in the drama Ramadan series Hum Tum. It is expected that her new drama series Wabaal will air soon.
