Mahmood Khan, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), made the announcement that all government buildings will be opened to aid flood victims.

The CM has given orders to open government buildings for the victims, according to Kamran Khan Bangash, the provincial minister for higher education.

According to Bangash, all higher education offices, libraries, and institutions in the flood-affected areas have opened their doors to the displaced people.

Following significant monsoonal downpours, several cities in the province are currently battling flood torrents. After Nowshera, Charsadda is also under danger of flooding.

The Munda Headworks Bridge has broken down and has been swept away by the rain-triggered flash flood leaving the Charsadda and Nowshera districts at risk of floods.

The irrigation system was destroyed, and the land connection between Shabqadar and Prang tehsils was cut as a result of the bridge being carried away.

The Charsadda district is also more vulnerable to a significant flood than Nowshera. The local population is being evacuated. The Khyali flood in Charsadda is very high, and the water level is continuing to rise. The city government is working to save the stranded residents.

Flood victims are spending the night outside in the open on the roadway where they have taken refuge. The local government reportedly already issued a flood warning as a result of which no injuries have been documented to date.
