Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received a diplomatic passport on Thursday from the federal government. According to sources, the passport was issued following approval from the Foreign Ministry.
Details indicate that Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N leader, has received a diplomatic passport from the federal government. The passport will be valid for 5 years once it has been approved by the Foreign Ministry.
Nawaz Sharif has received the passport from the Passport and Immigration Office.
The PML-N leader’s passport was suspended by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration after the court declared him an avoider. The PML-N leader previously received a standard passport.
Earlier in April, the Pakistani Embassy in London issued a passport to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. It may be noted that the passport of the former prime minister was revoked on Feb 16, last year.
The leader of the PML-N received a 10-year normal-category Pakistani passport. The passport was renewed on Shehbaz Sharif’s orders following a change in power in Pakistan.
The former prime minister has been granted a passport by the federal government, and he is now allowed to visit Pakistan.
