Pakistan’s Ayla Majid achieved history by becoming the first South Asian woman to be chosen vice-president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a professional accounting organization with a 118-year history.
In 118 years, Ayla Majid was elected as the first South Asian woman to serve as ACCA Vice President. She has previously been a representative on the ACCA Global Council since 2014.
The Global Future Council on Energy Transition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) recognized Ayla Majid as a Young Global Leader. She supports the switch to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy for the majority of people on the planet.
She is an MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), an LLB from the University of London, and an ACCA.
