The federal government has approved the establishment of the country’s first-ever girls’ scout cadet college in the Arigah area of Darband tehsil.
Work on the college building will soon start, according to local MNA and federal parliamentary secretary Mohammad Sajjad Awan.
On Sunday, he told reporters in this location that the property will initially function as a campus for the Pakistan Scout Cadet College Batrasi (Mansehra) and that it would later be given the status of a full-fledged scout college.
According to Mr. Awan, the project was approved at his request, and the prime minister gave the go-ahead for the authorities to complete the necessary documentation so that work could begin right away.
The PML-N supremo’s son-in-law and MNA, who is the older brother of retired captain Mohammad Safdar Awan, said that women’s empowerment was crucial for the growth of the nation.
He said that the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies had been disbanded by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and its allies, and that by-elections would be held to fill the vacancies, with the Pakistan Democratic Movement, which controlled the centre, running in all of them.
According to Mr. Awan, the federal government is working to restore the economy of the nation and uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and won’t permit special interests to obstruct such efforts.
