Former all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for proposing him for the management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Afridi expressed his desire to help Pakistan cricket at the grassroots during an interview with a local news outlet, but he raised doubts about his ability to play a permanent role in the new system.

“I am really thankful to PM Shehbaz Sharif for nominating me to the committee,” said the flamboyant all-rounder of his time. “I have talked to Najam Sethi twice since morning. I told him about my schedule which is tough due to my welfare work and family. But, I am available to them anytime, especially for working at the grass root level,” he added.

Afridi stated that there is a lack of fast bowlers for all three of the game’s formats while discussing the composition of the national team. We have two left-arm spinners, but we lack quick bowlers, taking into account all three game types, he said.

“Naseem Shah isn’t physically prepared to play Test cricket, in my opinion. With this bowling group, how are we supposed to get 20 wickets? Mohammad Hasnain and Shahnawaz Dahani ought to be on the team “Finally, he said. ‘

On December 21, PCB’s patron and PM Shehbaz named the organization’s management committee. To reinstate the 2014 constitution, a committee was established.

The committee is headed by Najam Sethi while other members include Sheikh, Gul Zada, Aized Syed, Tanvir Ahmed, Gul Muhammad Kakar, Ayaz Butt, Nauman Butt, Shahid Afridi, Shafqat Rana, Haroon Rashid, Sana Mir, Mustafa Ramday, and Chaudhry Arif Saeed.

According to the 2014 PCB constitution, which has already been approved by the Ministry of Law with a few minor revisions, the management committee would simplify PCB operations for at least 120 days prior to holding the elections.
