On Friday, the Sindh cabinet gave the go-ahead for the addition of buses to the Peoples Bus Service (PBS) project for Karachi and other Sindh cities.
The consent was given at a cabinet meeting held in this location, presided over by chief minister Murad Ali Shah.
The PBS project, which was authorized by CM Murad Ali Shah, calls for the purchase of 43 buses for Karachi and other places. The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (STMA) requested these buses during the meeting.
Sardar Ali Shah, the minister of culture for Sindh, requested the cabinet to operate buses for tourist destinations. The minister was instructed to create a summary by the Sindh CM in response to this.
The proposed buses would travel to tourist destinations including Keenjhar Lake and other locations, it was announced at the meeting.
The Sindh government now runs the Peoples Bus Service (PBS) in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur, hence it is vital to highlight this.
In June of last year, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari introduced the bus service for the first time in Karachi. In Karachi, the bus service is now available along five different routes, though additional routes are being considered.
