On Thursday at Chattogram, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan reached another milestone in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
In a T20 cricket match for Comilla Victorians versus Dhaka Dominators, Rizwan scored 6,000 runs. Contributing 55 runs in 47 balls was Rizwan. One four and three sixes were thrown during the eighth innings.
Khushdil Shah, a teammate of Rizwan, hit 64 runs in just 24 balls to assist Comilla Victorians to defeat Dhaka Dominators by a score of 184-4 in the allowed 20 overs. Seven fours and five sixes were in his knock.
A helicopter was used to transport Victorians to Rizwan on January 14 in preparation for their match versus Fortune Barishal. According to Bangladesh daily Prothom Alo, Rizwan arrived in Dhaka at 10:20 am, local time, and then boarded a helicopter, which landed at the Women’s Sports Complex ground beside the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram at 12:45 pm.
The Pakistan star landed around an hour before the match and was named in the playing XI. Shah and Rizwan will play for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League after appearing in the BPL.
For Victorians, who are currently in fourth position on the table with four points after five games, the game versus Dominators is crucial.
With 10 points after winning five of their six games, Sylhet Strikers are now first in the standings. After four games, Fortune Barishal is in second place with six points.
Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Challengers are in third and fifth place, respectively, with four points each.
Khulna Tigers and Dhaka Dominators are in the final two positions, respectively, of the table with two points each after four matches.
