After the Pakistani women’s team placed second in the recently held four-nation cup in Saudi Arabia, Sahiba Sherdil said she wants to help Pakistan win an international gold medal.

Pakistan recently finished second with four points after drawing with Saudi Arabia in their final game at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium.

Sahiba, a resident of a fishing town on the coast of Karachi, stated in an exclusive interview: “Playing in the four-nation football competition in Saudi Arabia was a lot of fun. The desire to represent Pakistan internationally has been realized. Getting Pakistan a global gold medal is the next aim.”

The defender also discussed how she overcome obstacles she had faced ever since she was a child to follow her goal.

“I’ve enjoyed playing football since I was young. I initially played with family members and neighborhood lads. To reach the ground, one must go a considerable distance. One must travel far in Maripur to perform sports without adequate facilities “She spoke.

Sahiba, however, claimed that her father, a fisherman, had been a steady source of support for her.

“I had to overcome a lot of obstacles in order to play, but my father gave me his whole support.”

When Sahiba first came into her neighborhood, she was given a warm welcome, which made both the residents and the entire country proud.
