On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significance of turning the relationship into a tangible economic partnership while highlighting the long-standing and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar.

Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan, paid the prime minister a visit and they were talking. The ambassador gave the PM a special message of goodwill from the emir of Qatar.

The Pakistani security forces were crucial in maintaining foolproof, unblemished, and impeccable security during the event, according to PM Shehbaz, who also complimented Qatar on holding the most successful Fifa World Cup ever.

The prime minister reiterated his commitment to advancing the growth and diversification of bilateral cooperation and specifically mentioned the trade, investment, energy, and human resources sectors in that context.

In a meeting with squash legend Jansher Khan, Mr. Sharif said the talent and services of the eight-time world champion and six-time British Open champion in popularising the sport in Pakistan were significant.

According to Mr. Sharif, one of the government’s top priorities is giving young people access to the best sports facilities.

Today’s young squash players receive training from Jansher Khan, who informed the prime minister of his most recent initiatives to advance squash in the nation. Earlier this month, a video of Jansher praying in a mosque went popular on social media. The user of social media revealed that Jansher, who was crippled and was given a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2011, was in a critical state. However, Jansher’s brother-in-law swiftly dispelled such rumors by posting a photo of himself with the 53-year-old.

Separately, on Friday, PM Shehbaz received a call from JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The discussion, which was also attended by the finance minister Ishaq Dar and the premier’s advisors Ahad Cheema and Amir Muqam, covered the country’s general political condition.

Earlier, while presiding over a meeting, the prime minister gave the Ministry of Power instructions to work with the KP Energy Development Board and develop a plan to guarantee the residents of Chitral will always have electricity access.
