President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Islamabad has been canceled due to bad weather conditions, confirmed Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The UAE president was supposed to travel to Islamabad for a day-long visit, but severe weather caused his flight to be delayed, and the visit was ultimately canceled.
The foreign dignitary was waiting for takeoff at 7.30 in the morning, according to the minister, but the security personnel prevented his jet from departing for Islamabad.
The new dates for the UAE president’s visit to Pakistan, according to Aurangzeb, will be revealed later.
PM Shehbaz Sharif was contacted by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who expressed regret over the cancellation of the visit.
