Tuition costs for Kashmiri students attending classes in the province were waived on Tuesday by the Punjab administration.
According to reports, a group of Kashmiri students visiting Punjab made a visit to Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore. The students informed the Punjab caretaker CM of the issues they were experiencing.
Mohsin Naqvi declared that 200 Kashmiri students will get laptops from the province government at the event while the tuition expenses for Kashmiri students in Punjab were waived.
In addition, Naqvi stated that the Punjab Bank will be instructed to open accounts for Kashmiri students, and that steps would be taken to establish a special quota for Kashmiri students in Punjab’s medical schools.
The visiting team of Kashmiri students was also given assurances by interim Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi that their visa-related issues will be resolved.
