There are no longer any age-related restrictions on women seeking admission to any department at Women’s University Swabi due to the university’s decision to eliminate the enrollment age requirement for female students.
The decision was made with the intention of preventing women from finishing their education after marriage or for other reasons from doing so.
According to a press statement released here on Saturday, the decision was made during the 25th meeting of the Academic Council of the University, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Shahana Arooj.
Some crucial decisions pertaining to the University’s academic issues were made during the meeting. Administrative officers and all departmental heads also attended the meeting.
After the historic decision to open the University’s doors, women will be able to apply for admission based solely on their merits.
The 24th, 4th, 5th, and 6th Advanced Studies and Research Board minutes, as well as those from the first Board of Studies of the Language and Literature at the Department of English at the university, were also approved at the meeting. The admission fee for M.Phil. and Ph.D. students were also increased at the meeting to Rs. 65000/- for science subjects and Rs. 55000/- for humanities, respectively.
