The Green Line bus service, Karachi’s primary metro service, has announced temporary adjustments to its timetable in an effort to better serve residents’ shopping needs during the last few days of the holy month of Ramadan.
The service will now run later into the night to accommodate the increased shopping activity as residents get ready for the impending joyous occasion of Eidul Fitr. According to a spokesperson, this choice was taken with the community’s convenience in mind.
According to the notification, the bus service will run every day from the two terminals till 11:30 pm from Abdullah Chowk, Sarjani Town to the Numaish Chowrangi station. Up to 12:30am, the down-track service from Numaish Chowrangi will be available.
Since the release of the revised schedule, the final buses from Surjani Town and Numaish Chowrangi will leave at 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., respectively.
According to the spokesman, this modification in hours has been made to accommodate individuals who would be busy shopping and running errands during the holy month and to make commuting more convenient during these noteworthy days.
