The train will help individuals who are rapidly returning home to celebrate the joyous holidays with their families and loved ones.
A few days before Eid, on April 18, the trains will start running. They will continue to take passengers till April 26. On April 18, the first train will depart from Karachi for Peshawar Cantt and the second from Quetta for Rawalpindi.
The third train will run on April 19 from Karachi to Lahore, and the fourth on April 26 from Rawalpindi to Quetta. On April 27, a fifth and final train will run from Kolhaur to Karachi.
The date for Eid ul Fitr will be chosen following a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on April 20 to sight the crescent moon for Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, according to the religious affairs ministry.
According to estimations, Eid ul Fitr will occur on April 21 or 22, with Ramadan starting on March 23.
