There are many well-known individuals on the TIME Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People, including everyone’s favorite Bollywood celebrity, the supermodel who actively supports human rights, and Pakistan’s minister for climate change.
Sherry Rehman
Sherry Rehman is the only Pakistani who has been included in TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2023. Sherry Rehman, Pakistan’s minister for climate change, participated in the United Nations climate summit last year in Egypt and spoke up for families who had lost everything to the floods.
She persuaded many of the delegates that the egregious injustice had to end through passionate speeches and persistent participation in discussions.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest celebrity in Bollywood, needs no introduction. The Indian actor was included in TIME magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2023 thanks to the recent success of his super hit movie Pathaan, which was released on January 25.
The distinguished annual list includes names of individuals from all over the world and is divided into six categories: pioneers, titans, artists, inventors, and leaders.
The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor was selected for the 2023 icon category. Names like King Charles III, Jennifer Coolidge, and Pedro Pascal were on the list, which was released on Thursday.
Deepika Padukone
He was nominated by Indian actor Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut with Khan, and she wrote a touching letter to him that was published on TIME to convey her respect for him.
“I’ll always remember my first encounter with Shah Rukh Khan. With just one luggage and a dream, I had just landed in Mumbai from Bangalore. I was seated in his home the next thing I know! I was being considered for a part opposite him in a movie. Since then, 16 years have passed.
The Piku actor continued, “150 words will never do justice to the phenomena that is Shah Rukh Khan for someone who has known him intimately and cares for him passionately.
Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid, an American supermodel of Palestinian descent, was listed among the pioneers along with Oscar-winning filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli of the film RRR. The ambassador for Charlotte Tilbury announced the news on Instagram on Friday, writing, “Proud to be included in the 2023 #TIME100 @Time list of the most important people in the world.
The Palestinian-American model has frequently taken part in demonstrations in support of the Palestinian cause. She also speaks out in support of several social and human rights causes. She heightened awareness of the severe floods in Pakistan in 2022.
“This is a climate crisis, and we need to be there for the people of Pakistan,” Hadid had said, sharing images and videos of those impacted by the floods and providing statistics.
Elaheh Mohammadi and Niloofar Hamedi
Iranian journalists Elaheh Mohammadi and Niloofar Hamedi, who initially reported about Mahsa Amini and covered her funeral, are also on the list. Amini was detained by the police and subjected to harassment because she had not properly covered her hair. Both journalists were detained and are still in Evin Prison.
The list also includes Yusra and Sara Mardini, competitive swimmers, and sisters who escaped the Syrian turmoil in 2015.
