Train service from Quetta to other regions of the country has been restored following the completion of the Hirok bridge restoration project. This morning, the Governor of Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar inaugurated the restoration of train service.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Governor stated that a special Eid train service will be launched from Quetta on the eve of Eidul Fitr.
It is worth noting that the train service between Quetta and the rest of the country was interrupted last year owing to the collapse of a bridge at Hirok station caused by strong monsoon rains and flooding.
The collapsed bridge is located in the rugged Bolan valley between Machh and Kolpur near Hirak.
