Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement

Khabib Nurmagomedov, widely acclaimed as ‘The Eagle’ announced his retirement. He was the undisputed lightweight Champion who finally bid farewell to his martial arts career.

Last night, he defeated Justin Gaethje in the UFC 254. Khabib beat his opponent in the second round of the game with a triangle choke.

Nurmagomedov didn’t let his opponent score even a singular point and scored 29 points single-handedly for himself. Once the game came to an end, Khabib announced his retirement due to the sad demise of his father in the month of July.

Khabib’s father called Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was also his lifelong coach who died due to cardiac problems further complicated by COVID 19. Khabib settled into tears choking his opponent in the second round of the game with 1:34. Last night, Khabib played the third UFC title defense of his career.
