The Punjab government handed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a 24-hour deadline on Wednesday to bring up ‘terrorists’ who attacked Army sites after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and were sheltering in Zaman Park.
“30 to 40 terrorists who attacked Army installations including Jinnah House are present in Zaman Park,” stated Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Aamir Mir at a press briefing.
The Punjab minister stated that geo-fencing enabled the agencies to confirm the presence of “terrorists” in Zaman Park.
“The intelligence report that has come in is very alarming,” Mir stated. “Within 24 hours, hand over the terrorists, or the law will take its course.”
“PTI is starting to behave like a non-state actor,” Mir observed. He said that the PTI head has been attacking the military for over a year and has asked the party to turn over the “terrorists.”
According to the minister, several people were in contact with Zaman Park during the attack on the Corps Commander House.
Previously, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was informed that proof of contact between miscreants and political leadership during the Jinnah House incident in Lahore had been discovered.
