The Sindh government granted urea and fertilizer subsidies for flood-stricken farmers in order to ease the financial strain on farmers hit by the recent floods.
According to the facts, the Sindh government approved a Rs 60,000 subsidy on Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and urea for flood-affected farmers.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Manzoor Wassan, fertilizer subsidies will be offered to 234,313 farmers.
According to the PPP leader, farmers with land ranging from one to one and a half acres will be eligible for the payment. A second phase of the subsidy programme is already begun, with farmers receiving Rs 5,000 per acre.
Subsidies for urea and fertilizers will assist farmers continue their agricultural activity and recoup from their losses.
