General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), will lead a delegation to China for Pakistan-China Defence and Security Talks from June 18-22, 2023.
CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met with the Chinese Chief of the Joint Staff Department, General Liu Zhenli, during his visit. Both sides reviewed ongoing bilateral defence cooperation between China and Pakistan during the discussion.
General Mirza reaffirmed that the Pakistan-China friendship is widely appreciated and deeply anchored in the hearts and minds of Pakistanis. He also stated that not only have the two countries’ military relations endured the test of time but that high-level collaboration in defence and training has advanced successfully.
General Mirza also met with high-ranking civil and military dignitaries such as Mr Qin Gang, Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister, Mr Chen Wenqing, and other senior military and government leaders.
Pakistan and China reaffirmed their commitment to forging deeper strategic ties as “Iron Brothers” and “All Weather Friends.”
