Pak-China Huazi Green Energy Pvt Ltd will unveil its first electric vehicle next month in Islamabad.
The unveiling will be used to promote and raise public knowledge of the company’s new Electric Vehicle (EV).
Khalid Mehmood, CEO of Huazi Green Energy Pvt Ltd and Alfalah EV Motors, told Gwadar Pro that the electric automobile could be charged at home.
The automobile assembly factory is planned to arrive from China in October, with production beginning in November 2023.
“Our government has already approved the plot allocation for the vehicle manufacturing factory in Hattar Special Economic Zone, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he explained. “We intend to begin booking EVs in January 2024.”
“The project is divided into two phases. Cars with two and four doors will be launched in the first phase. Our electric vehicles will be targeted at the upper and lower middle classes.
And these vehicles will be equipped with a lithium battery with a warranty of 100,000 km or four years,” he added.
“The company plans to launch Mini Pickups and 2 wheelers bikes specifically for ladies in the second phase next year.”
With a single charge, the two-door electric car can drive up to 225 km. “The four-door electric car can travel 350 kilometers on a single charge,” the CEO told Gwadar Pro.
The USD 5 million joint venture between Pakistan and China would accomplish 100 percent technology transfer within two to five years. The manufactured items, according to the corporation, will be exported to numerous nations and regions, including Europe and Turkey.
