Gold prices fell sharply on the domestic market as the Pakistani rupee rose against the US dollar.
According to the Gems and Jewellers Association of Pakistan, the per tola price of gold climbed by Rs2,800 to Rs220,200, while the price of a gramme jumped by Rs2,401 to Rs188,786.
On the international market, the precious metal’s per-ounce price fell by $15 to $1936.
