On Friday, the domestic gold price fell for the sixth consecutive day, falling an additional Rs4,000 per tola.
According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of the yellow metal (24 karat) fell by Rs4,000 per tola and Rs3,430 per 10 grammes, respectively, to settle at Rs212,500 and Rs182,184.
Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market jumped by $2 to $1,923 per ounce today.
In Pakistan, the gold price has been fluctuating recently due to ongoing political and economic uncertainties, as well as significant inflation.
According to the association’s data, the price of 24-carat silver in the local market remained stable at Rs2,650 per tola and Rs2,271.94 per 10 grammes.
Rupee continues to recover
Meanwhile, the local currency gained Rs2 against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 302.94, up from 304.94 the previous day.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the open market buying and selling rates for the dollar were Rs302 and Rs305, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of the Euro fell by Rs2.19 to conclude at Rs324.48 against the previous day’s closing price of Rs326.67.
